Inmarsat has signed a contract with Hapag-Lloyd to migrate all of its managed ships to services enabled for Fleet Xpress.
- Under the five-year contract, all Hapag-Lloyd ships and five newbuilds will be transferred to Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress from the FleetBroadband service it currently uses.
- FleetXpress provides a high-speed broadband connectivity service to increase vessel efficiency and enhance the standard of crew welfare.
- Terminals from both Intellian and Cobham SATCOM will be included in the deal.
