Inmarsat has launched its fourth, high-speed broadband satellite designed for better communications.
- The fourth satellite, Inmarsat 5 F4, is part of Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) constellation and was launched by SpaceX on a Falcon 9 rocket at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
- Fourth satellite increases capacity of the GX network and in-orbit redundancy to upgrade the reliability and resilience of the satellite services.
- Global Xpress’s Ka-band technology enables high data speeds to be used on Fleet Xpress, a service part of the Global Xpress network specifically dedicated to maritime.
