Inmarsat has unveiled its Fleet Secure service for detecting vulnerabilities, respond to threats and protect ships from cyberattacks.
- Fleet Secure is a Unified Threat Management (UTM) and monitoring service to help shipowners and operators get more transparency on their digital security.
- Using high-speed satellite broadband, it detects external attacks and protects vessels from intrusion from infected USB sticks and devices connected to the onboard LAN. It also blocks access to unsafe websites.
- Different levels are available. Silver level includes daily review and threat analysis and Bronze level enables users to self-check the vessel’s network status via an online portal.
