Isle of Man Ship Registry to Incentivise Green Ships

The Isle of Man Ship Registry recently revealed its plans to introduce a number of changes across its Registry structure, including rewarding their customers for investment in environmentally friendly technologies.

The financial incentives will manifest in the form of reduced fees to the tune of a 10% for qualifying vessels.

The Ship Registry’s changes are expected to exceed current and predicted client expectations for a modern, progressive registry operation.

Dick Welsh, Director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry, commented: “This is a change we have been planning for some time. It is the game changing final step in the delegation to Recognised Organisations which will place the Isle of Man in a more competitive position whilst improving the service levels for which it is renowned.”
