German ship operator Jüngerhans Maritime Services (Jüngerhans) has signed a contract with Yara Marine Technologies for the installation of scrubber systems on four newbuild container feeder vessels destined to operate in the North Sea.
The newbuilds are under construction at the Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard with the first delivery expected in Q4 2017.
Being equipped with the Yara scrubbers will allow the vessels to use HFO but still remain compliant with North European Emission Control Area (ECA) and also the fast approaching 2020 sulphur cap limits.
