Klüber Launches Range of High Performance EALs

Klüber Lubrication has launched a range of Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL) for ships and offshore applications.

Products in the Kluberbio EG 2 lubricant range comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Vessel General Permit (VGP) 2013 and were designed to cope in extreme and challenging environments while retaining an eco-friendly status. The lubricants also comply with the EU Ecolabel requirements.

The Kluberbio LG 39-700 N and Kluberbio LG 39-701 N lubricants are made from 100% raw materials to protect open drives from wear, even at very low temperatures. These EALs also meet requirements for OSPAR conformance, including Norway Yellow 1.

The Kluberbio BM 32-142 has also been launched for use with rolling and plain bearings. The eco-compatible multi-purpose grease utilises special additives to reduce wear and protect against corrosion, while allowing smooth operation at high load bearings and extremely low temperatures.
