Kosan Crisplant, Denmark, supplier of equipment, solutions and services for the liquefied petroleum (LP) gas industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas), South Korea, a large corporate buyer of LNG, to work on LNG bunkering technology and pilot projects.
The MoU will enable technologies to be developed that will encourage LNG bunkering and drive facilities to make it more feasible including boil-off gas treatment and small-scale LNG.
In addition, Kosan Crisplant and Kogas will perform pilot and demonstration projects for LNG-fuelled ships, LNG bunkering and small-scale LNG logistics business using an ISO LNG tank container.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony at the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) Summit in Copenhagen. Following this the two companies jointly hosted an LNG bunkering seminar on LNG-fuelled ships to exchange ideas, showcase existing bunkering concepts and inspire future collaborations.
