MAN PrimeServ has signed a maintenance contract with Teekay Shipping for three of its liquefied natural gas carrier ships.
- 10-year agreement covers the provision of spare parts, maintenance management and the servicing of each vessel’s dual-fuel main engines through the Copegnhagen and Shanghai divisions.
- Engine Maintenance Concept agreement is tailored to each ship owner, allowing PrimeServ to take care of the maintenance and equipment, rather than leaving shipowners to do it themselves.
- Ships run on ME-GI engines that use either fuel or gas to limit CO2, NOx and SOx emissions and prevent fuel-slip according to MAN Diesel & Turbo.
