MarineFields and Inmarsat have signed an MOU to examine the use of sea traffic management and satellite connectivity in making port calls more efficient.
- Partnership will investigate how improved information sharing, situational awareness, optimised processes and collaborative decision making can help efficiency of port calls for all stakeholders.
- Project will focus on enhanced standardised data sharing, and enable third party providers to bring new and innovative services to key stakeholders in the maritime industry.
- MarineField’s Perseus PortCDM will use Inmarsat’s satellite solutions, Fleet Xpress and FleetBroadband, to connect different stakeholders related to sea transport to enable data sharing and informed collaborative decisions.
