MarineTraffic and the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate data and information sharing.
- Both organisations will acquire access to more data, helping them to more accurately analyse global trade and shipping trends.
- UNCTAD will use MarineTraffic’s data from over 800 million vessel positions to improve its maritime research in its role integrating developing countries into the world economy.
- MarineTraffic’s advanced algorithms and delivery methods will allow UNCTAD to make sense of the large volumes of data generated.
