Marshall Islands approves K-Fleet electronic logbook for oil and garbage records

The Marshall Islands has approved Kongsberg’s K-Fleet Logbook system, enabling more than 4,000 vessels to record their oil and garbage records electronically.

  • Digital reporting may now be used to maintain records for deck and navigation, engine room, oil, cargo, garbage and radio.
  • K-Fleet Logbook meets IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS and flag state requirements. It collects data from a ship’s systems into central data storage manually or automatically.
  • The Marshall Islands Marine Notice No. 7-041-5 states the changes made to enable digital recording of data.
