Minerva Marine has successfully installed the BMT SMART vessel performance monitoring system, SMARTFLEET, on board two of its chemical tankers, Minerva Leo and Minerva Tychi.
According to Minerva Marine, BMT SMART’s package was chosen as it can fully support the shipping company’s efforts to monitor daily operational costs and optimise fleet performance. Also, they stated that the hardware seamlessly integrates with different on-board automation systems, synchronising easily with the on-board database.
They also stated that the BMT SMART system will provide the company with competitive advantage in the chartering market.
Minerva has also ordered BMT SMART’s Shaft Power Torque Meter and Vessel Performance Monitoring Systems for two new Suezmax tankers, Minerva Kalyspo and Minerva Evropi.
