Damen’s mobile ballast water treatment unit, InvaSave, has received type approval from the International Maritime Organization.
- InvasSave is a mobile containerised option that offers an alternative to retrofit for owners. It can be operated from dockside or from onboard, receiving or delivering water to a ship.
- Primarily used in ports and harbours, InvaSave has been approved to the D-2 standard, treating water with a low turbidity and a UV transmission down to 20%.
- It uses mechanical filtration and ultraviolet radiation to remove microorganisms in fresh, brackish and coastal water with a high sediment load.
