The One Sea Autonomous Maritime Ecosystem partnership has introduced roadmaps towards an autonomous maritime future.
- One Sea partnership has a goal of enabling remote control vessels in the Baltic Sea in three years and achieving autonomous commercial maritime traffic by 2025.
- Roadmaps suggest themes to be investigated and levels of maritime autonomy using a timeline towards 2025.
- Partnership was created in 2016 and is led by Digital, Internet, Materials & Engineering Co-Creation (DIMECC). Companies involved include ABB, Cargotec (MacGregor and Kalmar), Ericsson, Meyer Turku, Rolls-Royce, Tieto and Wärtsilä. The association of Finnish Marine Industries supports the work, and the Finnish funding agency Tekes has invested in the ecosystem.
