Pacific Basin Shipping has installed KVH Industries’ mini VSAT Broadband solution to 99 vessels to modernise its ship-to-shore communications across its fleet of dry bulk ships.
- Equipment aims to enhance crew training and give support for safe operations says Pacific Basin.
- Package also includes KVH’s IP-MobileCast, which allows crew members to watch international news in their own language and NEWSlink newspapers to provide news on their mobile devices.
- Fully integrated solution includes antenna hardware, control units, and all connecting cables, with a compact footprint to keep installation time to a minimum.
