The International Energy Agency has released what it calls the World’s first comprehensive energy roadmap to net zero by 2050.
The report lays out in detail how all industries and society need to adapt to achieve the goals required to keep global warming within the required limits and to largely decarbonise within the next 29 years.
As a roadmap for energy development it also gives an indication of energy shipping demand in the future, including an increase in CO2 shipping for carbon capture utilisation and storage as well as increases in alternative fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen.
