RIMS BV approved as drone survey supplier

Robotics in Maintenance Strategies (RIMS BV) has been approved by Bureau Veritas (BV) as a service supplier for Remote Inspection Techniques (drones) to carry out surveys of ship hull structures and mobile offshore units classed with BV.

RIMS BV provides surveying and maintenance solutions using drones and robotic technologies.
The use of drones for surveys and inspections in enclosed spaces is expected to reduce the time of scheduled work as well as improve visual records and minimise risk.
The approval by BV indicates that RIMS is on the right track to deliver safe and approved drone surveys for the marine industry, reports David Knukkel, CEO of RIMS BV.
