The Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) has taken delivery of Damen Shipyards Group’s LoFlo 60 ballast water treatment systems (BWTS).
The LoFlo 60 BWTS will be fitted to the RNLN submarine support ship and torpedo tender HNLMS Mercuur (A900).
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) type-approved LoFlo systems can be installed in a modular arrangement or in a compact form and can be mounted on a skid for easy and efficient ‘plug and plug’ integration onboard the ship.
The HNLMS Mercuur (A900), which is currently undergoing a maintenance refit program, will be fitted with the LoFlo systems in January 2016.
