Russian LNG Bunkering Port Gets Green Light

LNG-Gorskaya has got the go ahead for the construction of a port that will act as a Liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering hub for ships in the Baltic Sea.

LNG will be produced on a non-self-propelled barge (ship-factory). The total capacity of the plant is designed for processing of 1.968 billion m3 of natural gas per year, which corresponds to the production of 1.26 million tons of LNG.

Delivery of LNG to consumers will be carried out by bunkering vessels, equipped with deck system of LNG storage in tank containers.

LNG-Gorskaya plans to enter the production facility into operation in December 2017.
