Water microbiology specialist, Aqua-tools, has delivered the first of 30 Rapid ATP Ballast Water Monitoring Systems to inspection, verification, testing, and certification company, SGS Group.
- Rapid ATP technology is a ballast water monitoring solution that analyses each fraction of organisms and bacteria by taking the ATP from the cell walls of marine organisms.
- ATP 2G technology can be used onboard vessels and by enforcement agencies to analyse treated waters during the deballasting process, providing results in less than 40 minutes.
- 30 Rapid ATP Ballast Water test kits will be distributed to SGS Group offices in all those countries by which it has been contracted to carry out ballast water verification tests.
