Press Release: Silverstream Technologies B.V. has today announced the appointment of three new Directors, together with further senior appointments to the organisation as the company grows amidst increasing demand for its proprietary clean technology, the Silverstream® System.
David Price, Jesper Lok and Michael Greville join CEO Noah Silberschmidt on the company’s new Board of Directors.
David Price joins as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Price is the former Chief Executive of Chemring Group PLC, with broad experience across multiple sectors. From 2000 to 2005, he was Managing Director, Naval Marine for Rolls-Royce Group Plc, responsible for the supply and maintenance of propulsion systems and equipment.
Jesper Lok has held leadership roles with Maersk Group for 25 years and was CEO of leading towage company Svitzer. More recently, he was Chairman of bulk and gas shipping company J. Lauritzen.
Michael Greville is a solicitor and has acted as the company’s General Counsel since 2015.
Speaking on the constitution of the new Board, Noah Silberschmidt, CEO, Silverstream, said: “Today marks an exciting and important next step in Silverstream’s journey as one of shipping’s leading clean technology companies, and as the pioneers of air lubrication for our sector. In David and Jesper we have added two technology experts with a deep knowledge of maritime, and their counsel will play an important role as we look to drive exponential growth for Silverstream at what is a crucial time for the industry.

In conjunction, Silverstream has also further strengthened its leadership team with two senior appointments. Matthew Negus joins Silverstream as Chief Financial Officer, whilst Jon Wheelercommences as Programme Director.
Matthew Negus started his career as an Audit Manager for Deloitte, before performing various roles across the financial sector. Matthew joins Silverstream from inkjet printer designers Inca Digital, where he was Chief Operating Officer.
Jon Wheeler joins Silverstream after an extensive career in engineering, automation and IT projects. Most recently Jon was Program Director for GE’s Power Conversion business division, where he was responsible for the development and execution of tidal lagoon energy projects.
Noah Silberschmidt added: “Matthew’s longstanding experience of managing the finance department of an international organisation, and Jon’s record of strategic development and programme execution make them both exactly the right appointments as we look to cement our position and provide more proven air lubrication technologies to owners and operators.”
