- Following sea trials, Silverstream claims technology can reduce fuel consumption by 5-10%.
- Efficient energy balance achieved through smooth air-water interaction with small installation footprint as air release units only occupy 1% of flat bottom of vessel.
- Monitoring and verification of fuel savings possible as system can be switched on and off. When switched on a drop in shaft power and increase in speed shown.
