Spanish energy company, Cepsa Gas Comercializadora has indicated that liquefied natural gas is the fuel of the future for maritime transport due to its availability, price and safety.
- A report by Cepsa states that LNG is a product that both respects the environment and complies with international regulations.
- Cepsa also predicts it will be the first company with the capacity to supply LNG ship-to-ship using the Mediterranean Multi-product Barge at the Port of Barcelona.
- According to Cepsa, LNG has huge potential in Europe as most European ports comply with the safety conditions required for refuelling LNG.
