Tri-fuelled diesel electric liquefied natural gas carrier, Pan Asia, has completed sea trials in the East China Sea.
- Pan Asia is the first of four 174,000m3 tri-fuelled diesel electric vessels jointly owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China LNG Group, BW Group and Teekay.
- According to Teekay, the vessel exceeded expectations from a manoeuvrability, speed and vibration point of view.
- Vessels will be delivered between September 2017 and January 2019 and will each operate under 20-year time-charter contracts with Methane Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell.
