- Rolls Royce anticipates first autonomous vessels will be harbour tugs or car-ferrys designed for short distances.
- Benefits of unmanned ships include reduced onboard fatigue, reduced risks of attacks, lower accommodation spend, larger cargo capacity and lower wind resistance.
