Dry bulk shipping company, Thoresen & Co (Bangkok) Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A to kick-start the installation of ERMA FIRST Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) on Thoresen vessels.
12 Bulk Carrier vessels will be retrofitted with ERMA FIRST BWTS FIT 1000m3/h and the contract includes including a full engineering package (3D laser scanning, engineering study, etc.).
The first installation is scheduled for 2017.
Thoresen reportedly stated that they were convinced that this is the right time for getting systems at the absolute best price.
