Emissions verification company, Verifavia, has achieved dual accreditation as a global EU monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) verifier.
- This comes following a second accreditation by France’s national accreditation body Cofrac.
- Verifavia is the first globally accredited verifier to receive this dual accreditation.
- Two day audit and assessment took place in Paris before Cofrac awarded Verifavia the accreditation.
The EU MRV requires shipowners and operators to measure and report their verified CO2 emissions while at sea.
