Verifavia Shipping Hellas has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Greek ship classification society and certification organisation, International Naval Surveys Bureau (INSB Class).
- The collaboration will help INSB to offer Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) services to its customers by using the knowledge and expertise of Verifavia.
- Verifavia will assist ship owners and operators by ensuring that they have confidence to install the right systems, capabilities, and understanding to efficiently achieve compliance.
- Vessels exceeding 5,000 GT operating in the EU have until August 2017 to prepare plans to monitor, report and verify their carbon emissions, fuel consumption, and associated transport work. Data will be publically available.
