LRQA and Verifavia have been fully accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service for global EU monitoring, reporting, and verification.
- Both Verifavia Shipping and LRQA will be able to verify carbon emission reports and assess any ship anywhere in the world, regardless of owner, flag state, or class.
- Companies have had to prove ability to provide accurate EU MRV services and undergo rigorous assessment with UKAS in order to achieve the accreditation.
- From January 1, 2018, ship owners and operators will be required to monitor and report verified CO2 emissions annually for ships over 5,000GT calling at EU or EEA ports.
