Vertom-Bojen Bereederungs Opts for Integrated Fleet Management Software

Vertom-Bojen Bereederungs has chosen DNV GL’s ShipManager integrated fleet management software to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance optimisation and quality of operations for a fleet of 41 ships.

The integrated ShipManager suite, which includes ShipManager Technical; procurement; project, quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE); and crewing and analyser for BI / fleet analytics, and a safety management reporting module with a user friendly interface, will help integrate and analyse data from class and other sources.

ShipManager will enable Vertom-Bojen Bereederungs to integrate all of its fleet data to help streamline the data collection and management process for effective decision-making.  Previously different ships were using different software setups to manage one fleet, which led to higher costs and resulted in a lack of integration leading to inefficiency and communication challenges between ships and onshore management.

Furthermore, DNV GL will include information from MAC’s onboard data collection system ‘SDBnet’ into its ECO Insight solution, which will offer fleet performance analytics enabling data exchange, such as fuel consumption, shaft power, trim, and available electrical energy between on and offshore systems.
