Eelume AS has released a video that shows live footage of its underwater robot that can carry out maintenance and inspection tasks without divers or heavy equipment.
- Elume robot developed in conjunction with Kongsberg Maritime and has undergone trials at the PREZIOSO Linjebygg Subsea Test Center in Trondheim, Norway.
- Snake-like vehicle will live underwater permanently, carrying out inspections and light interventions on subsea installations.
- Robot design allows it to reach difficult access points and can shift into a U-shaped dual arm configuration to carry out maintenance using torque tools, grippers and other equipment.
