Wärtsilä is signing agreements with a number of shipyards to facilitate cooperation and communication to ease implementation of the ballast water management convention.
- Agreements will see companies provide shipowners and operators with information needed to help select and implement a ballast water management system.
- Wärtsilä will provide the required design engineering, product supply, installation supervision, commissioning and after sales services of the BWMS.
- Companies will help each other in the areas of engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities and shipyards will provide drydocking facilities.
